Family Camp Easter 2024
We are excited to announce that this Easter is FAMILY CAMP!
Pack your bags quick! … We’re off to Aotea/Great Barrier Island! Yep! That’s right! Family Camp this Easter weekend is a fun-filled camp the whole family can enjoy!
Friends and family of The Forest School will be hosted by our wonderful whānau at Orama, located at Karaka Bay, Kotuku Peninsula; on the North-Western side of the Island. Enjoy spectacular sea views and sunsets, walking tracks, beach swimming, fishing, playground, 250 hectares of farm and bush, waterslide, games, activities and more …
Travel to and from the island is by a private chartered ferry arranged by us. The accommodation is cabins, and all you need to bring is your sleeping bag, pillow and personal gear. All meals are catered for by the team of chefs at Orama and entertainment and camp programme activities are led by Gavin and Tennille, Directors of The Forest School.

Further Info
- Travel is by chartered ferry ex-return Sandspit where you can park vehicles and leave them there for the duration of the trip.
- If you intend to take your own boat please contact us for the price excluding ferry transport.
- Accommodation is for 3 nights in cabins. BYO pillow, sleeping bags and personal gear.
- Food is fully catered 3 meals per day by onsite chefs – Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
- All dietary requirements can be catered for at an additional cost of $11.00 per person per day
